Snoop Dogg Parties In The Club With Suge Knight [PHOTO]

Yep, you read that right. Snoop Dogg—Snoop Lion if you want to get technical—was kicking it with Suge Knight in the club.

Snoop posted a photo of him, the former Death Row Records HNIC and a couple of other guys, but doesn't say exactly when or where the photo was taken. The "Deep Cover" rapper only included the caption, "N d club wit Suge miss those death row days!"
As most Hip-Hop fans know, Suge (as well as Tupac) and Snoop had an infamous falling out with the Blood repping exec after the rapper left Death Row for No Limit.
The only thing that could possibly be more head scratching than this photo is if Dr. Dre was in it himself, handing Suge a pair of new Beats By Dre headphones.
While we're on the topic of Snoop, he recently launched a video series called "Dime Of The Month." The title makes it self-explanatory but just know it involves model chicks, bikinis, a random stripper pole and it's a game show. Also, Don "Magic" Juan and Hits From The Street (the BET dude) are involved.
Check out the photo of Snoop and Suge kicking it like old buddies on the next page, and peep the first episode of "Dime Of The Month" below.

Beats by Dr Dre headphones beats Spotify, YouTube and iPhone to become UK’s most loved brand, survey finds

An independent survey by global research agency Harris Interactive has found that Beats by Dr Dre headphones beat brands such as Skullcandy, Spotify, YouTube and EA when it came to ‘user love’.
The research of over 2,000 adults between the ages of 16-64 looked at 67 leading technology, media and entertainment brands, including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Twitter.
The brand has an exceptionally positive brand buzz with over half (52 per cent) of consumers claiming the Beats is ‘ahead of the game’.
Lee Langford, research director at Harris Interactive, commented: “This study confirms what I see every day as I commute across London and see increasing numbers of people with the distinctive Beats logo covering their ears … Beats by Dr Dre is one of the UK’s most dynamic brands with the potential to grow consumer familiarity and purchase intent at a rapid rate in 2013. These are exceptional results and as a brand, Beats should be looking to continue to raise the bar within the audio industry.”
Over two-thirds of users (67 per cent) said they have a strong emotional connection to the brand.

Apple and Beats by Dr. Dre to make sweet music service

Apple Inc has held talks with Beats Electronics LLC, the audio technology firm co-founded by influential hip-hop producer Dr Dre and music mogul Jimmy Iovine, on a potential partnership involving Beats' planned music-streaming service, three people familiar with the situation told Reuters.
Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook met with Beats CEO Jimmy Iovine during a visit to Los Angeles in late February to find out more about Beats' "Project Daisy", a music subscription service the company announced in January but with scant detail, the sources said.
Apple's Internet products chief Eddy Cue, a key player in setting up its iTunes Music Store, also joined the meeting, at which Cook expressed interest in Daisy's business model and its rollout plans, although the two did not discuss specifics of a deal, the sources said.

The meeting between Cook and Iovine, who is also chairman of music company Interscope-Geffen-A&M, was "informational" and covered a broad range of music-related topics, the sources said.
Apple spokesman Tom Neumayr and Beats declined to comment.
The iPhone maker has been widely reported to be considering a music-streaming service to complement iTunes, the largest repository of music for sale.
Beats, known for its stylistic, distinctive headphones, has a partnership with Taiwanese handset maker HTC Corp, an Apple rival.
In a boost for the company, Beats said on Tuesday it had secured $60 million in funding for Daisy from a group of investors including Warner Music owner Len Blavatnik, Fort Worth billionaire Lee M. Bass, and Australian financier James Packer. The funding will bankroll the music service's launch in late 2013.
Beats reportedly named the project "Daisy" in honor of what it called the first digital, computerized song. At the time, it said in a press release that the service would "bring an emotional connection back to the act of music discovery," referring to the process through which users find, buy and consume music.
The music recording industry has languished through more than a decade of declining revenues and sputtering growth. Industry sources say many of the largest companies are beginning to warm to the idea of collecting fees on music streamed over the Internet, as the use of smartphones and tablets explodes around the world.
It remains a nascent market, dwarfed by music sales via outlets such as iTunes, but one that is attracting investment.
The meeting between Apple and Iovine was set up in January, immediately after Beats announced Daisy without explaining the upcoming project's business model or how it plans to differentiate itself from existing services such as Spotify and Pandora, one of the sources said.
Other players reportedly looking at expanding into music-streaming -- whether fee-based or by paid subscription -- include Google Inc and Amazon.com Inc.
Iovine, a music producer and "mentor" to contestants on Fox's "American Idol" show, has a long association with Apple and was one of the first music industry executives to sign onto what was then Apple's nascent iTunes initiative, announced in 2001.
In a January interview with technology website AllThingsD, Iovine said he subsequently pitched a subscription service to Apple's late co-founder Steve Jobs in 2003, but the mercurial Silicon Valley icon was not keen on it right away.
Iovine said Jobs didn't want to pay the record companies enough, and thought the price would come down eventually.

Beats By Dre Gets $60m Investment for Streaming Service To Rival Spotify

Access Industries – owners of Warner Music Group – have ploughed $60m into Beats By Dre for a new streaming service called Daisy, which is set to rival Spotify in the music streaming market.
“Beats has the vision, the brand, the management team and now the investor group to effectively change the expectations and experiences of a music subscription service," said Len Blavatnik – co-founder of Access. “I’m looking forward to taking on this exciting challenge together.” Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor will also be helping to design 'Daisy', which, like its rivals, will be a subscription-based service.
It would appear as though this kind of media streaming is in vogue, with both Google and Apple reportedly planning to launch their own music streaming service. Reuters even reported that Apple approached Beats with a view to a partnership. "Beats was always about helping people re-discover the magic in the experience of listening to music,” said music mogul Jimmy Iovine. “Now that we are well along the way to addressing the quality of audio playback with Beats headphones and speakers, Daisy allows us to re-introduce the same magic into the process of music discovery and consumption".
It’ll be a tough industry to break, though: Spotify currently boasts 5 million paying subscribers and 20 million users of its service in 17 different countries, making it the dominant force in the sector. And you just have to look at services like Napster to see what happens when this kind of investment goes wrong.

Apple to Team Up with Beats by Dr Dre

Apple Inc, after its shareholder meeting, is now keen on doing business and one of its projects is its current discussions with Beats Electronics LLC. The audio technology company is co-founded by Dr Dre, hip hop icon and Jimmy Iovine, the music business giant.
The partnership involves Beats' under wraps music streaming business, according to three separate individuals familiar with the discussions. Tim Cook, Apple CEO met with Iovine, current Beats CEO to discuss the audio technology company's 'Project Daisy'. This is a music subscription service announced by Beats but without much details provided. Another attendee was Eddy Cue, one of the key people that set up the iTunes Music Store. Iovine also is the current chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M

Both Apple and Beats declined to comment on the discussion.
One of the key issues is that Beats has a standing commitment with HTC Corp, a rival of Apple Inc in the smartphone business.
